The Gallery is another location for this year's Biennale of Sydney, but that only takes up a small part of the four floors. The rooms flow from what appear to be Monet and Renoir rip-offs (although very nice ones) into Australian sculptures, and then into, gasp!, an actual Picasso, Matisse or some other guy you've heard of. It's an interesting mix of things that make you say, "Oh wow!" and "Huh. So that's art."

The Aboriginal section is hidden down at the lowest level, but it's worth looking for. The images in the paintings are bold and bright, and there's also an odd thing with fake bats.

Sitability is low at the Gallery, and when you do get to a seat you find yourself looking a Lichtenstein or something for five or ten minutes and still not really getting it. (Any art majors out there? Talk to me.) The really good breathtaking stuff is standing room only.
