About Us

"Us" is Lisa Turner and Kerry Sainato. Hi.

In March 2002, I (Lisa) decided to throw my things into storage (Kerry’s basement) and leave Boston for Sydney. Luckily, Boston took it pretty well.

As an unemployed copywriter I wanted to do something to keep track of my time in Australia. I also found a surprising lack of information on the web about working Down Under. There were a couple of Geocities-style pages and some official government information about getting a visa, but not much about the actual experience. So I bought a domain name, talked Kerry into making it pretty for me, and here we are.

Once around just wasn't enough though. After returning to the States I decided I wanted my quick fling with Sydney to turn into something more serious. I was also interested in earning a master's degree and found that studying at an Aussie uni was very affordable.

Back I went for more fun, more friends and more stories to tell.
